Asking for advise on the Forums about razor rash, always comes down to prep and technique. I have become proficient and have the correct blade and razor combo, but still have the rash, even with a BBS shave, no weepers or nicks. The AS alone with another soap, made a HUGE difference on this. Using both the Heartwood soap and AS this am, gave me the best shave of my life. I have found the solution for my shaving rash and its not just me doing something wrong. (as everyone says)

Let me just say, I like this shaving soap so much, not just for the smell, but the excellent shave I bought the aftershave and shaving oil to match it.

I have used both badger and boar bristle brushes with this soap, and have face lathered as well as bowl lathered. In all cases, achieving a thick, slick and well-hydrated lather was easy. This is a great shaving soap!

The scent is fabulous (see my review of the Heartwood aftershave). This is a manly and relaxing scent, like sitting by the fireplace in a pine-log lodge. Highly recommended!

The Heartwood shaving soap is my new favorite shaving soap. I've tried many other shaving creams and soaps in the past. This one tops my list and will undoubtedly be a standout in your shave den.

I purchased this soap couple days ago. I have to say that this soap is very hard like a tripple milled soap itself. I was under the impression that it will take a lot of effort to lather up the soap but when I started my shaving process this morning I have to say that It was very easy. I used my morris and forndran and I have to say that it took about 45 seconds to have the brush with a very good load of soap on it. Then I passed over to the scuttle and the rest is history.
The scent is so nice that it spread out around the entire bathroom. After 15 minutes on my rutine my wife came in and ask me( this is a new one? It smells real nice).
Based on the texture of the soap itsel I have to say that it will last clouse to a year, its very hard but easy to lather and it comes in a very large tub. I recommend this products to anyone in the shaving community.
