First and foremost other companies should take notes. W.M Neumann did everything I believe a company should do. Extremely fast shipping and the hand written personalized thank you is such a simple thing that’s gone missing today. Now onto the aftershave. The Heartwood balm is IMO the best. Most certainly the best I’ve ever used and although I haven’t tried them all. I’ve used more than enough to feel confident in making that statement. The balm left my face feeling smooth and rejuvenated. The scent is hard to describe but is wicked awesome and not overpowering. I’ve now found my go to aftershave balm. As soon as using this balm I went right back and ordered the lathering bowl. Will not be the last order either. Thank you W.M Neumann Co. for making such a superior product.

This balm is my favorite scent, it sinks in quickly, seems to relieve redness, lingers faintly so you can catch a hint of it through out the day and leaves my face soft and smooth.
This scent is exactly what the description said: the scent is fresh, like I feel I'm outdoors in the woods- yet rich and warm (the whiskey, tobacco and leather notes make this my fall/winter balm) it's Very masculine but not like a heavy spicy musk. My wife loves this scent.
I sincerely wish I found these products years ago. I cannot wait to try absolute zero in the spring and summer!

I ordered this balm after reading the fragrance description on the website, as it was a very intriguing mix of fragrances. When it arrived I was very surprised at the unusual, unique scent. The balm works great, but the scent was very turn of the century and masculine. It is hard to describe, but this has become my favorite scent of all of my aftershaves, soaps, and colognes. I wish they made a cologne of the Heartwood scent. I plan to purchase the Heartwood shave soap soon. It is strong when it first goes on, but only for about ten minutes then it mellows to a very pleasant lingering fragrance. I do not like extremely strong scents, but this balm is perfect. Not overpowering, but just enough scent lingers. And what a great scent!! Never smelled any aftershave or cologne like it. Absolutely my favorite!

I've regretfully purchased far too many aftershave products to mention, both super premium (over $80 a bottle) & bargain brands.This stuff flat out rocks in every way regardless of price - performance, skin conditioning, and what a scent! I enjoy the fragrance subtly for a few hours after I shave. The Heartwood aftershave splash is excellent as well. Customer service from Wm. Neumann sets a benchmark, totally recommend!!

What an excellent product. I have sensitive skin and a course beard that grows in every direction on my face and neck. It is difficult to shave without irritation, even with good technique, a double-edge razor, and high quality shaving cream. This aftershave helps my face feel better. It reduces irritation and keeps my skin as healthy as possible. In the dry and bitter cold of interior Alaska, this natural product goes a long way to keep me moisturized but not greasy. The same can be said about Neumann's other aftershave balms.
