I've been used to using an expensive per shave gel. It's been fine but I'd still get an occasional nick or two every few shaves. Finally ran out, read some reviews and decided on this preshave oil. I was a bit concerned at first since its properties are completely different than the gel I was using. The razor glide was a bit different...more forgiving of pressure etc... Haven't experienced the nicks or cuts at all and have had some great close shaves. I now know that the gel wasn't really doing anything except taking from my wallet. The 1907 scent is nice also-my wife seems to get a bit frisky when she smells it in me so hey, it's my new favorite scent! Hats off to the WM Neumann team for reviving tradition and making a great product! Made in the USA-this is now my go to product line.

Just a few drops is all you need to cover your whole face, so this bottle should last a long time. The scent is the same as the rest of the 1907 line (which is to say, fantastic). It provides excellent lubrication for a close shave. It, combined with the 1907 shaving soap, provided the best shave I've ever experienced.

I look forward to shaving when using the Signature 1907 oil. It smells so much better than any other pre-shave product I have used--except the 1911 oil, of course--and it gives the razor a smooth surface on which to glide, even for my tough beard. I rarely have experienced nicks and cuts using this oil with the right blade. I highly recommend this and all Wm. Neumann products.

This is a great smell and I feel the oil just enhances the overall shaving experience. It not only prepares the face for a closer shave, but it's also part of the scent package. Goes well with the other 1907 products.
