    In keeping with our family's commitment to the finest quality preparations, we set out to create and refine one of the most comprehensive shaving soaps available.  We formulated it using the finest Coconut, Palm, and Safflower Oils, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Soy & Wheat Proteins, Slippery Elm Bark, and Bentonite Clay--all blended with our Apothecary Blend of healing Botanical Extracts and Essential Oils.  For the best traditional wet-shave possible, create a rich cushion of lather using a premium Badger Hair Shave-Brush and hot water.
    A full half-pound (8oz/226g) of our Premium Shave-Soap permanently set into our amber apothecary jars with silver tin lid--lasts a long time.

                  The soap lathered quick and produced a deep rich lather that was incredibly slick. I own over 60 shave soaps and they were just shelved for WM Neumann 1911 shave soap. I can’t get over how good this is. I’m getting ready to order more soaps. This soap is a winner

                  Excellent shave soap

                  This has become my favorite shaving soap. The lather this makes is very high quality, easily whipped up and has a scent I truly enjoy. The 1/2 pounder lasts a long time, so I plan to keep using this as long as they keep making it - which is hopefully a very long time.

                  The sent is out of this world, to me its a bit like a barbershop mixed with some od spice! Lets just say its easy on the nose. As for performance, very slick and great cushion. The post shave is all so very good, skin felt hydrated and clean!

                  I rarely provide reviews but felt compelled to share as this is simply an outstanding soap. I, too, turn 50 this year and have been wet shaving for ~8 years.

                  This soap lathers well, provides superb cushion and delivers a remarkably close shave. I found using a Simpson Chubby 2 that it readily face lathered with no problem and was not "fussy" in the least. Much like others, I let a bit of water soak on top of the puck while showering and then load with a relatively dry brush. [I do have the larger puck as well and the container if fine for loading].

                  As to the scent, I am not a cologne wearer and this does have a stronger scent however I find it both pleasant and somewhat nostalgic as it gives a nod to days gone by. Very reminiscent of trips to the barbershop in my youth.

                  I would heartily recommend to anyone interested in a great soap!

                  Outstanding

                  I have been using hard soaps for a couple of years. I have not had the best of luck with non tallow soaps. many times the soaps would lather up well but had no staying power. Also many of these types of soaps lack the slickness that I enjoy. When I tried this soap this morning it immediately lathered up, was incredibly thick and there was no disappearing lather on my face. When I started to shave I noticed it was incredibly slick. The scent lingers but it is not heavy. A fantastic product.
